Dr. Esther Osei Akuo-ko is an accomplished environmental scientist and analytical chemist specializing in environmental sustainability, radiochemistry, and radiological risk assessment. She bridges rigorous scientific research and laboratory expertise to support high-level environmental management and policy-informed decision-making.
Her technical background includes contaminant assessments across soil, water, air, and sediments. As a Chemist and Researcher at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, she contributed to national and international monitoring programs analyzing persistent organic pollutants and heavy metals in collaboration with UNEP and MONET-GEF.
She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Material Sciences with a research focus on radiochemistry and environmental monitoring, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles.
